Ohh Honey.

Rolf launches glasses with structure

With haptic structures, the Tyrolean eyewear manufacturer ROLF came up with something new again for 2022. As part of their “glasses made of beans” collection, which already wowed the industry in 2021, the creative minds are launching glasses this year that surprise with natural surface structures.

“We wanted to make the sustainability idea, which plays a central role in everything we do, tangible and visible in our designs. With the new technological possibilities, we can say goodbye to the classic smooth eyeglass frame and set accents with discreet structures that turn the everyday object of eyeglasses into something special. The fact that the new models belong to the substance collection and are thus made from the beans of the fast-growing miracle tree is a perfect fit in this case. In this way, the environmentally conscious eyeglass wearer gets plant-based frames with organic patterns as a sophisticated symbol of his appreciation of nature,” summarizes designer Johannes Wacker.

Homage to the bees

The new surface is all about Mother Nature. Dedicated to one of the most important farm animals of all – because bees pollinate about 80% of our crops.
Slightly raised, you can see a honeycomb pattern growing upwards on the surface. An optical charm that only comes into its own in the right light. For the spectacle wearer who is looking for understatement but can also do without. Restrained and yet present – like love at second sight.
