My name is Wolfgang Hauke and I had the special opportunity to meet Rolf. Nein, Rolf ist nicht mein Arbeitskollege – Rolf ist meine Seh- und Sonnenbrille. I call them that because the brand name is also Rolf .
When I was looking for a new pair of glasses, it was clear to me that they shouldn’t be an everyday model, not a typical black pair, not something that everyone wears. For me, my glasses are a piece of jewelry that accompanies me every day and has to function reliably in all situations.
My optician presented me with a Rolf frame made from castor bean, 3D-printed and with a patented, wear-free hinge – no tedious screwing, no compromises in terms of robustness and comfort. From the very first time I put them on, it was “1st Love”: ordered, received and comfortable to wear from the very first moment.
The glasses have proven themselves in a real endurance test, especially on long car journeys and working days in front of a screen.
But my curiosity was piqued: I wanted to find out more about Rolf and visited the flagship store in Reutte, Tyrol, right on the German-Austrian border.
I was immediately impressed by the variety of designs. The master optician naturally has real experience in his field, took the time to take professional measurements and responded to my individual wishes.
The selection was overwhelming – I also liked the wooden and titanium frames. In the end, I left the store with an order for the “Milo” sunglasses, which were fitted by my optician shortly after delivery from Reutte.
Since then, both Rolf glasses have been my constant companions – whether on a business trip, a hike or at the beach. The combination of varifocal lenses, high-quality frames and sophisticated design is convincing in every situation.
The first rays of sunshine mean: Put on your glasses and wow – get out into nature, push yourself to the limit and enjoy life.
Even on demanding tours, the goggles fit perfectly without pinching. The large lenses offer optimum protection and the integrated nose pads ensure maximum comfort.
On my via ferratas and sweaty adventures, the “Milo Sun” stays securely on my nose – a decisive factor for safety and peace of mind. A product that simply works: Repairs or readjustments have not been necessary so far.
My enthusiasm for nature is also reflected in my desire to add handmade wooden-framed glasses to my “eyewear jewelry” – so I carry my love of the forest with me every day.
