Rolf was honored twice with the renowned Red Dot Award 2025 – in the Product Design category and in the Sustainable Design meta-category. The award-winning Wire collection impressed the international Red Dot jury with its exceptional design quality and holistic sustainable approach.
This not only makes Rolf a pioneer in terms of aesthetics and functionality, but also sets a strong example for environmentally conscious product development in the eyewear industry.
The Wire collection stands for minimalist lightness and technical sophistication. It is made from an innovative plant powder that is processed locally and transformed into delicate frames using 3D printing – without any screws, with reduced use of materials and a minimal carbon footprint. The design is complemented by the patented Flexlock joint, which combines flexibility with stability and guarantees long-lasting use.

In addition to the sustainable approach to materials, Rolf also pursues clear environmental goals in production: it works exclusively with 100% green electricity, all production takes place at the company site in Weißenbach (Tyrol), and the supply chain is kept as local and short as possible
