This year, Rolf has expanded its 3D printed eyewear selection with the Fusion collection, a line combining design innovation, technical features and natural materials.
By working with natural materials and 3D printing, and highlighting features such as real wood inlays, the Austrian brand aims to demonstrate a commitment to combining aesthetic elegance and good design with a sustainable focus.

Rolf uses 100% plant-based material from castor beans. The beans undergo a meticulous process to transform them into a material which is suitable for eyewear production. Initially the beans are processed into a paste, which is then utilized in a 3D printing process to create detailed, precise and lightweight frames. The award-winning Wire Collection, which also features styles for kids, also showcases colourful bio-based threads inlaid into the frames, combining style and bright hues with the sustainable direction in eyewear, for which the company has become well-known.
